Is this job info correct?

NotarNow is one of Germany’s fastest-growing Legal Tech scale-ups. We are fully bootstrapped, have grown from 2 to 15 people in just over two years and have reached more than €3M ARR — now scaling towards €10M.

More than 1,500 legal professionals and over 6,000 employees already use our products in their daily work.

For most of the past few years, we have operated largely in stealth mode, focusing on product, customers and growth rather than visibility.

Now, as we expand beyond Germany and build NotarNow into a leading European Legal Tech company, our brand and visual presence need to catch up with the quality and ambition of our products.

That is where you come in.

Your Role

As our Motion & Creative Designer, you will become our visual production powerhouse.

Your job is to make complex software understandable, exciting and premium within seconds. You will turn new features, interfaces and product ideas into high-quality motion graphics, product animations, SaaS videos, conversion ads and visual assets for NotarNow and KI:RSTEN.

Our product design and Figma system are already in place. Your focus is not on spending weeks in strategy meetings or writing lengthy concept decks. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves producing things, moving fast and turning rough ideas into outstanding visual work.

One day, you might create a 20-second launch animation for a new KI:RSTEN feature. The next, you build a high-performing LinkedIn ad, animate an interface, produce a website visual, create a 3D product scene or turn a raw screen recording into a polished product story.

You will work across formats, channels and media, but always with the same goal:

make our products look as good as they work.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce high-quality motion graphics, product animations and SaaS videos for NotarNow and KI:RSTEN.
  • Transform our existing Figma interfaces into polished UI animations and visual product stories.
  • Create feature videos and explainer videos that make complex software understandable within seconds.
  • Produce conversion-focused ads and creatives for channels such as LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube and other paid media platforms.
  • Create visual assets for our website, landing pages, product launches, social media, newsletters and events.
  • Combine screen recordings with motion graphics, typography, transitions, compositing and sound design.
  • Edit video and audio content for product videos, interviews, webinars, podcasts and other formats.
  • Create high-quality marketing collateral when needed, from whitepapers and presentations to flyers, event materials and print assets.
  • Build reusable motion templates, animation systems and visual components that allow us to communicate new features quickly and consistently.
  • Experiment with new creative and AI tools and integrate them wherever they improve speed, quality or creative possibilities.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing and the founders and often get access to new features before they are publicly released.
  • Take rough ideas and independently turn them into finished visual assets without needing every frame to be predefined for you.

What You Bring

  • Strong professional experience in motion design, animation or a comparable creative role.
  • Excellent motion design skills, for example with After Effects or comparable tools.
  • Strong video editing skills, for example with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or comparable software.
  • Confidence working with Figma and a strong understanding of modern SaaS and UI design.
  • Experience with image and graphic design tools, for example Photoshop, Illustrator or comparable software.
  • An excellent understanding of motion, timing, pacing, typography, composition and visual hierarchy.
  • The ability to simplify complex product features and communicate them visually.
  • A strong eye for detail. You notice when timing feels off, spacing is wrong or a transition is not yet good enough.
  • The ability to take a project from a rough idea to a polished final asset independently.
  • High execution speed without compromising on quality.
  • A high degree of ownership and self-direction.
  • The ability to receive feedback, iterate quickly and continuously raise the quality of your work.
  • A genuine passion for producing visual work at high volume instead of primarily planning, coordinating or discussing what could be produced.

For this role, your portfolio matters far more to us than your degree.

We are not looking for someone who is simply comfortable using creative software. We are looking for someone whose work makes us think:

“We want our brand to look like this.”

Language

  • English is perfectly fine for this role.
  • German is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • A good understanding of German will make it easier to quickly understand some of our products, features and customer workflows, as our core market is currently German-speaking.
  • If your German is limited but your creative work is exceptional, we still want to hear from you.

Plus

  • AI-powered image and video workflows, for example Higgsfield, Runway or comparable tools.
  • Advanced motion graphics and compositing.
  • 3D and 3D motion, for example with Blender, Cinema 4D or comparable tools.
  • Sound design and audio post-production.
  • Performance creatives and conversion-focused advertising.
  • Editorial and print design, for example with InDesign.
  • UI animation tools such as Jitter, Rive or comparable tools.
  • Generative image, video and audio workflows.
  • Experience building reusable motion systems or brand animation systems.
  • Experience working with SaaS, AI, software or technology products.

You do not need to know every tool listed above. We care much more about the quality of your work than the exact software stack you use.

The Kind of Work We Love

To give you a better idea of the level of craft and visual direction we are aiming for, here are two references we really like:

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDwR1_vrIg8

We are not looking for someone to copy these styles one-to-one. What we like about them is the combination of strong motion design, polished UI animation, confident pacing, great typography and composition, smooth transitions and product storytelling that makes software feel exciting.

If you look at these and immediately start thinking about how you would create something similar, or better, for NotarNow and KI:RSTEN, we would probably like to talk to you.

What This Role Is Not

  • You are not joining us as a traditional Product Designer primarily working on wireframes, UX research and user flows.
  • You are not a Performance Marketing Manager responsible for campaign budgets, targeting and media buying.
  • You are not simply a Video Editor waiting for someone else to provide footage, scripts and detailed instructions.
  • Your core responsibility is visual production at the intersection of Motion Design, Product, Video, Graphic Design, 3D, Brand and Marketing.

We are looking for someone who enjoys producing more than discussing what could be produced. Someone who can move quickly, experiment, create a lot and still maintain an exceptionally high standard.

What We Offer

  • Real impact: Your work will be seen directly by thousands of users and potential customers.
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Performance bonus tied to the impact of your work, including how well selected ads, creatives and visual assets perform against agreed goals.
  • A strong existing product and Figma design system you can build on immediately.
  • Significant creative freedom in how you visually communicate our products.
  • Very short decision-making paths and little bureaucracy.
  • The opportunity to shape the visual and motion identity of one of Germany’s fastest-growing Legal Tech companies.
  • The freedom and budget to experiment with modern creative, motion, 3D and AI tools.
  • Professional setup: MacBook, Studio Display and everything you need to do exceptional work.
  • Remote, hybrid or on-site work in Munich.
  • For candidates who enjoy working in person: a newly built office in Mozartstraße 4, directly by Munich’s Theresienwiese.
  • EGYM Wellpass membership included.
  • A high-performance environment with ambitious colleagues and a strong bias towards execution.

Your First 90 Days

  • 30 days: You understand our products, Figma system and visual language and have already produced your first motion pieces, ads and product visuals independently.
  • 60 days: You regularly turn new features into polished product videos, motion graphics and campaign creatives and start building reusable templates and production workflows.
  • 90 days: You are our go-to person for visual production and can take a new feature or rough idea and independently turn it into outstanding animations, videos and creative assets.
