Help shape how our events look, move and come to life.
We’re looking for a talented Multimedia Designer to join our team and take a leading role in the creative output behind our international B2B events.
We run major events for the banking and financial services industry in the UK and North America, bringing together senior leaders from banks, credit unions, technology businesses and some of the biggest names in financial services.
And we create a lot of content around them.
Video. Social content. Event trailers. Brochures. Reports. Websites. Infographics. Campaigns. Speaker content. Partnership assets.
We want someone who can make all of it look exceptional.
This isn’t a role for someone who simply takes a brief and moves things around a template.
We’re looking for someone with real design ability, a strong visual eye and the confidence to take an idea and turn it into something polished, engaging and on-brand.
Your portfolio will matter much more to us than your current job title.
What you’ll be doing
This is a broad creative role working across our events, marketing and content throughout the year.
Video & motion
Video will be an important part of the role.
We produce interviews, speaker content, event footage and promotional videos, and we want to significantly improve how we package and use that content.
You’ll help us:
We don’t just want somebody who knows how to cut footage together.
We’re looking for somebody who understands pace, storytelling, branding and what makes video hold attention.
Digital & social creative
You’ll work with our marketing and content teams to turn ideas into strong visual content.
That could include:
You won’t be expected to own our social media strategy or community management.
Your job is to work with the people who own our content and campaigns and make the creative behind them brilliant.
Brochures, reports & event collateral
We produce a significant amount of high-quality B2B material for attendees, sponsors and partners.
You’ll help us create and develop:
You’ll need to be comfortable taking something containing a lot of information and turning it into a document that feels clear, premium and easy to navigate.
Strong typography, layout and information hierarchy will be important.
Website & digital design
You’ll also help improve the visual presentation of our event websites.
This might include:
You do not need to be a web developer.
What matters is that you understand digital design and can create assets and layouts that work beautifully online.
Experience with Figma, WordPress, Elementor or similar tools would be useful, but isn’t essential.
Partner & campaign assets
We work with banks, technology businesses, media organisations and other partners around the world.
You’ll also create assets including:
Some of these will be straightforward production work. Others will need much more creative thinking.
You’ll need to be comfortable with both.
What we’re looking for
Above everything else, we’re looking for someone whose work we love.
You’ll need a portfolio that demonstrates strong professional design work across multiple formats.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience working with B2B brands, events, conferences, financial services or technology would be useful.
But it isn’t essential.
Great creative work is.
The kind of person we’d love to find
You might currently work for an agency, event organiser, media company, technology business or an in-house marketing team.
You might also be a freelancer who wants to become embedded within one business and have much more ownership over the work you produce.
Either way, you’re probably someone who looks at creative and immediately thinks:
“I could make that better.”
You notice when the spacing isn’t right.
You care about typography.
You know when a video is dragging.
You can tell when something feels dated.
And you care about the final 10% that turns something from acceptable into something genuinely good.
We also want someone who brings ideas.
We’ll give you briefs and direction, but we don’t want to prescribe every font size, transition and layout.
We want you to bring your own creative judgement too.
There’s plenty of variety
One day you might be editing a CEO interview filmed at one of our events in the US.
The next you could be designing a sponsorship brochure for London.
Then you might be turning a piece of research into an infographic, creating a LinkedIn carousel, building an event trailer or developing the visual treatment for a new campaign.
That variety is a big part of the role.
About us
We’re an independent B2B events business producing events for the banking and financial services industry.
Our flagship Banking Transformation Summit events bring together senior banking leaders, innovators and technology businesses in the UK and North America.
We’re a relatively small, ambitious team, so the work you produce will be highly visible.
You won’t be one designer buried inside a large creative department.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence how our events and content look across video, digital, social, web, print and live-event campaigns.
Working with us
This is a fully remote role based in South Africa.
Our intention is to find someone who can work with us full-time and become a long-term part of the team.
For an exceptional candidate, we would also consider beginning with a freelance or contract arrangement before moving towards a more permanent relationship.
We’re a UK-based business, so there will need to be good crossover with UK working hours. From time to time, particularly around our North American events, there may also be work that falls outside normal South African hours.
We work at pace and there will be periods around launches and events when turnaround times matter.
You’ll therefore need to be organised, responsive and comfortable working within a fast-moving business.
Salary
R30,000 - R42,000 per month, depending on experience and portfolio.
How to apply
You must include a portfolio with your application.
We’d particularly like to see examples of:
You don’t need to have examples of every single one.
But we do need to see both strong design work and evidence of video editing capability.
We’re much more interested in seeing what you can create than receiving a perfectly written covering letter.
If you’ve got work you’re proud of, we’d love to see it.
