Multimedia Instructional Designer
Our healthcare client is seeking a Multimedia Instructional Designer to support the design and development of engaging learning and training materials. This role blends instructional design, curriculum development, graphic design, and multimedia production to create impactful educational experiences for employees and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience building training programs, facilitator guides, presentation materials, and resource libraries while leveraging strong visual design skills and Adobe Creative Suite expertise. Candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Location: Fully Remote
- Duration: Contract
- Hours: Full-time, 32 hours/ 4 days per week
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Web Design, Computer Art, or a related field
- 2+ years of instructional design and content development experience
- Experience creating training curricula, facilitator guides, participant manuals, and learning materials
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong understanding of design, typography, layout, and color principles
- Experience developing presentation materials and visual learning assets
- Experience working within Workday Learning or similar learning management systems
- Healthcare finance experience required
- Ability to provide a portfolio or work samples demonstrating instructional and visual design work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate
- Adobe After Effects and motion graphics experience
- Video production and editing experience
- Photography and photo editing skills
- Familiarity with SharePoint and content management systems
- Experience with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
- Experience with 3D design tools such as Cinema 4D or Maya
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging learning experiences and instructional materials
- Build curricula, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and presentation decks
- Create pre-work, post-work, and supplemental learning resources
- Partner with subject matter experts to gather requirements and develop educational content
- Design visually compelling materials that align with branding and communication standards
- Produce digital, print, video, and multimedia learning assets
- Develop graphics, illustrations, and supporting visual content for training initiatives
- Assist with storyboarding, content organization, and asset management
- Support deployment of learning materials through Workday Learning, SharePoint, and other platforms
- Contribute to the development of resource libraries and reusable learning content
- Maintain quality, consistency, and usability across all learning deliverables
