We’re looking for a Murex Accounting Specialist specializing in trade lifecycle accounting, cashflow accounting, and PBA configuration within the Murex MX.3 platform.

⭐Role Description
The Murex Accounting Specialist is responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting accounting processes within the Murex platform. This includes financial event generation, cashflow accounting, collateral flows, and Position-Based Accounting (PBA) rules across multiple asset classes. The specialist ensures accounting accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Finance, Risk, and Front Office teams.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Trade Lifecycle Accounting
• Configure and validate accounting events from trade capture to settlement.
• Ensure correct event generation and reconciliation across the lifecycle.
Cashflow Accounting
• Maintain and troubleshoot cashflow accounting processes for all product types.
Position-Based Accounting (PBA)
• Implement and optimize PBA rules for derivatives, FX, and fixed income.
Collateral & Margining
• Configure accounting flows for collateral movements, margin calls, and CSA agreements.
Financial Product Coverage
• Support accounting logic for Fixed Income, FX, and Derivatives.
Regulatory & Standards Alignment
• Ensure compliance with IFRS; GAAP knowledge is a plus.
Incident Resolution
• Investigate and resolve accounting mismatches, event failures, and reconciliation gaps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with Finance, Risk, FO, and IT teams to ensure accounting consistency across the platform.
✅ Requirements
• Senior / Semi-Senior profile.
• Solid hands-on experience in Murex Accounting
• Minimum 3–4 years of experience with Murex
• Native‑level Spanish proficiency
• English: Advanced level preferred (C1)
• Must be based in Portugal.
