Role Overview

As a National Accounts Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of key retail and distribution partners, driving sustainable growth, strengthening long-term customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage key brick-and-mortar retail accounts, while supporting the National Accounts Assistant across other distribution partners.

  • Work closely with the Senior National Account Manager to maximise sales through innovation, brand exposure and a strong trade and promotional calendar, with a focus on recruiting the consumer of tomorrow through digital and social initiatives.

  • Manage the Gift with Purchase and sampling programmes, with a strong focus on customer acquisition.

  • Monitor and report on weekly sales targets and individual account performance, working with the Senior National Account Manager to identify and implement initiatives that deliver against targets. Drive sell-out performance, brand visibility and product availability to support sustainable growth.

  • Support the Senior National Account Manager with stock allocation and work closely with Marketing and Supply Chain to coordinate timely deliveries and maintain product availability.

The Perfect Candidate

  • Proven experience as a key contact for multiple retail accounts, with a strong understanding of brick-and-mortar retail.

  • Proven key account experience, with a strong understanding of how to recruit the consumer of tomorrow through digital and social marketing initiatives, including experience negotiating and managing these activities with retail partners.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with excellent numeracy, trading and negotiation skills.
