.NET Backend Developer

Job Location: 100% remote in Romania Recruitment process: technical screening cultural discussion client interview About the Project You'll be joining the engineering team of a leading train ticket retailer, working on the core platform systems that power their desktop and mobile booking applications. This is a high-impact backend role at the heart of a platform used by hundreds of thousands of travellers - where performance, resilience, and reliability are non-negotiable. What You'll Be Doing Developing performant, secure, and resilient backend services and functions Building and maintaining asynchronous and event-driven workflows Writing testable code and championing quality at every stage of delivery Participating in architectural design decisions alongside cross-functional teams Practicing and promoting Agile methodology, including pair programming and code reviews Taking ownership of your work from local environment all the way to production What We're Looking For 4-8 years of hands-on experience with .NET Strong understanding of software development best practices: code reviews, testing methodologies, and CI/CD Experience with behaviour-driven development (BDD) and domain-driven design (DDD) A genuine love for TDD and quality-first engineering Solid English communication skills — written and verbal Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL is a plus Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus Previous fintech or high-traffic transactional platform experience is a plus Why Apply This is an opportunity to work on a system that moves at real scale, alongside engineers who take craft seriously.
