About the role Our Secured Network Team team, composed of 20 people (12 Solvay Employee), is integrated in the Solvay Digital Technology Infrastructure department and focuses on providing a complete and seamless set of network and security services, in collaboration with all Solvay industrial and non-industrial sites around the world (70 user sites including 40 plants, 5 Data Centers, and Cloud services). As a Network Engineer, you will work on Supporting Network and Security operations at the regional level and bringing the business needs to the Global organization and supporting the local site network and security delivery and evolution. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the Network Operation Center and have a positive impact on Solvay’s technical environment (such as Wifi, LAN, SD-WAN, SSE, Internet Access, Local FW, Central security for Remote and Cloud Access). You will be accountable for: Contribute to Network Operation Center delivery (Change, Incident, Projects) Animate the relationship with regional and on site stakeholders (IT Support teams, Site industrial teams) to collect needs, facilitate operations in proximity to site (EMEA Zone). Managing the Local Network and Security inventory for specific services, and managing technical documentation. Support Service Owners in coordinating local deployments (Planning and Execution). Collaborating and designing solutions in order to respect local regulations and needs. Conducting regular network assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode. About you Relevant education degree or equivalent in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field. Relevant (Min 5 year) work experience in Network Design or Network Operations Management. Competencies: Experience with Network and security Troubleshooting Experience in deployment - project implementations Experience with Manufacturing/Industrial/Chemical-centered environments Network expertise in Cisco LAN, WLAN, and Palo Alto environments (Firewall and SDWAN) Behaviors: Customer and Service Oriented mindset Proactive in identifying and addressing network risks and inefficiencies Adaptability to changing business needs and technological advancements Team player & Collaborative mindset to work effectively with IT, security, and business teams About the pay Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 36,800 - € 49,300 per year in Portugal. Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
