Network Development Engineer - Global Infrastructure - 6 Month FTC - Remote (Dublin)

We're hiring on behalf of a leading global technology organisation operating one of the world's largest IP networks. This is a six-month fixed-term contract, remote-first, with some requirement to be in the Dublin offices and data centres depending on daily project deliverables.

The role: You'll help build, automate and sustain large-scale IP networks. It suits someone who enjoys simplifying complex systems, working across Unix and networking technologies, and driving reliability at scale.

What you'll actually be doing:

• Deploying and automating network configurations across a large global footprint

• Leading projects focused on scaling, optimisation and technology refresh

• Troubleshooting routing, interconnectivity and performance issues in high-availability environments

• Supporting and mitigating large-scale network events for critical customers

• Collaborating with network, systems and software engineering teams to roll out new designs and tools

• Maintaining standards, documentation and operational best practices

• Driving innovation across all layers of the network stack

Day to day: you'll build automation, improve tooling and solve problems unique to operating one of the world's largest networks. Expect forward-looking work that balances performance, cost and reliability. The role includes participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation and occasional travel to data centre or network sites.

Cloud network and infrastructure experience will be highly beneficial.
