Network Engineer

Contract duration: 1 year extendable, Hybrid working

The Network Engineer - Operations Support is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The role provides operational support for LAN, WAN, wireless, firewalls, routers, switches, and network-related services while ensuring compliance with service levels and operational procedures.

Job Description:

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, outages, and connectivity problems.
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Support network change, incident, problem, and capacity management processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, and network security compliance activities.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident management when required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VPN, DNS, DHCP, WLAN, and firewall technologies.
• Familiarity with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking platforms.
• Understanding of ITIL service management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Fortinet NSE / FCP
• ITIL Foundation
