The role:

My established FinTech client are seeking a Network Engineer / NRE to join their team.

This positions requires you to be onsite 4 days per week in the office.

The role requires strong core Network skills around Routing / Switching and Firewalls. Over time the position will transition into more of a Network Reliability role (NRE). If you already have some of the skills around the NRE piece, this is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring, supporting, maintaining and building the global core Network and adjacent systems
• Carrying out Network changes across the Network
• Building Network products for on-prem Datacentres and Colo environments
• Network Security and Firewall based work
• Maintaining and developing Network associated code, following NRE practices
• Project work collaborating with other teams
• Contributing to the architectural roadmap

Core skills required:

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and Network fundamentals (at CCNP level)
• Cisco Routing and Switching
• Cisco ACI
• Cisco IOS-XE Switches/Routers
• Network Security, with a particular focus on Palo Alto
• Linux/Unix fundamentals
• Some exposure to AWS / Azure

Desirable skills:

• IaC / NRE experience
• Python / Ansible / Terraform
• Rest API’s
• CI/CD Pipelines
• Datacentre migration experience
• Network performance monitoring and packet analysis
• VoIP
