Hexa Consulting is looking for a Security Engineer to join our Client's team in a hybrid work model from Lisbon.
JOB DETAILS
Lisbon, Portugal | Hybrid | Healthcare & Insurance Services Sector
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- 1–3 years of professional experience in Security Engineering, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration or a related technical field.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Practical knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, infrastructure hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure security.
- Ability to perform structured technical troubleshooting, incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with change-management procedures and technical documentation practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and methodical approach.
- Customer-oriented mindset, attention to detail and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English proficiency at B2 level or above.
NICE TO HAVE
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
TECHNOLOGY STACK
- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux.
- Infrastructure Security: Security Hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability Remediation.
- Networking: Fundamental Networking Concepts.
- Operations: Incident Investigation, Troubleshooting, Root-Cause Analysis, Change Management.
- Scripting (Nice to Have): PowerShell, Bash, Python.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support security hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security activities across enterprise environments.
- Perform structured incident investigation, problem analysis and root-cause identification to ensure effective issue resolution.
- Support the administration, operation and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux systems.
- Investigate infrastructure-related incidents and contribute to system stability, security and continuous optimization.
- Execute technical changes according to established procedures, change-management processes and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders during investigation, troubleshooting and resolution activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure security and operational reliability.
