Network Security Engineer (Cisco)

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Network Security Engineer with Cisco ISE and Cisco FTD experience to join our team and work on long-term, enterprise-level security projects for high-profile customers.

This is a technical, hands-on engineering role focused primarily on Cisco ISE and Cisco FTD, covering implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization and ongoing support of security solutions in complex enterprise environments.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and principal-level experts, with direct involvement in the delivery of critical network security solutions for enterprise customers.

📍 This role is based in Athens (hybrid model). Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, configure and troubleshoot Cisco ISE solutions in enterprise environments
• Work hands-on with Cisco FTD / Firepower firewalls, including configuration, policy management and troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot complex authentication, authorization, access control and network security issues
• Support security solution deployments, migrations, upgrades and optimization
• Investigate incidents and identify root causes across network and security environments
• Collaborate closely with customer engineering teams and internal project stakeholders
• Contribute to technical documentation, best practices and continuous improvement
• Gain exposure to broader Cisco security technologies and complex enterprise security architectures

What we're looking for

Must have:

• 2 years of hands-on experience in Network Security Engineering
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE
• Hands-on experience with Cisco FTD / Firepower
• Solid understanding of network security concepts and enterprise networking
• Experience configuring, troubleshooting and supporting security solutions in production environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams and customers

Nice to have:

• CCNP Security or equivalent non-Cisco certification
• Experience with Cisco security technologies such as Cisco Umbrella, Secure Access, ESA or WSA (or equivalent non-Cisco product)
• Experience with enterprise-scale environments, particularly the financial sector
• Experience with security solution design and implementation
• Exposure to high-availability, migrations, upgrades or large-scale security deployments
