Description Position Summary: The NIL Marketing Intern supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnerships and marketing initiatives. This position assists with content development, campaign execution, athlete engagement, and project coordination to help deliver partnership objectives, maintain brand standards, and support awareness of MSUFCU's NIL program. The role provides exposure to marketing strategy, partnership marketing, and content creation within a collaborative business environment. The MSUFCU internship program is designed to support interns in developing career readiness competencies as defined by NACE. Throughout the internship program, interns will gain hands-on experience and enhance essential skills that prepare them for success and career growth. Interns will have the opportunity to develop competencies in career and self-development, communication, critical thinking, equity and inclusion, leadership, professionalism, teamwork, and technology. Work Location:  Hybrid ; A combination of working from home/remotely and at MSUFCU Headquarters campus in East Lansing, MI Work Schedule: Part-Time 15-25 hours/week; Hours will be scheduled based on student's school schedule and business hours (8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday-Friday) Paid Hourly Internship - $16.00/hour Duration: Fall Semester with potential to continue into future semesters An offer of employment with MSU Federal Credit Union and affiliates is contingent upon the agreed work arrangement (hybrid) and work location. MSU Federal Credit Union may or may not be able to accommodate temporary or permanent changes to work arrangements or allow employment outside the city and/or state of residency in which the new hire resides at the time of offered employment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: NIL Marketing Intern Coordinate activities that support NIL partnerships, including project timelines, deliverables, and communications. Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns that feature student-athletes and NIL initiatives. Develop and organize content for digital, social media, and promotional channels in alignment with campaign objectives. Collaborate with internal departments to support integrated marketing and communication efforts. Monitor project progress and update stakeholders on campaign milestones and deliverables. Research marketing trends, audience engagement practices, and collegiate athletics developments to inform campaign recommendations. Review marketing materials to support brand consistency, accuracy, and quality standards. Support athlete activations, community events, and promotional activities related to NIL partnerships. Maintain records, assets, and project documentation associated with NIL initiatives. Complete additional projects and assignments that support departmental objectives. Understand the Credit Union's policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accountability for managing operational risks. Adhere to established internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and maintain the integrity of credit union operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: NIL Marketing Intern High school diploma required. Actively pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Sports Management, Journalism, Business, or a related field. Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing concepts. Familiarity with content creation or design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms preferred. Availability to attend occasional evening or weekend events. Thorough understanding of current marketing methodology and practices. Physical Demands & Work Environment: May be required to remain in a stationary position for an extended period. Ability to operate standard office technology, equipment, and tools, which may include many hours of computer and phone usage. Occasionally needs to move about inside of an office area. Frequently needs to move about inside or outside of an office area. Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e. robbery. Receives detailed instructions and procedures to be followed to minimize the exposure. Frequently moves equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds for transport between areas of buildings. This position requires onsite presence at the employees’ assigned location for all scheduled shifts. This position can work in hybrid or onsite working arrangements.
