Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer with strong expertise in backend development and system design. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems, microservices, and distributed applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Design and implement high-level and low-level system architectures for complex applications.

- Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Develop and maintain microservices and distributed systems.

- Work on database architecture, data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.

- Implement caching, asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.

- Work with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis.

- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues in production systems.

- Implement authentication, authorization, API security, and other backend security best practices.

- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver reliable solutions.

- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Strong understanding of System Design, HLD, LLD, scalability, and distributed systems.

- Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.

- Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices.

- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.

- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, or similar messaging technologies.

- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.

- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Good knowledge of Git, CI/CD, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of GraphQL and gRPC.

- Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.

- Experience designing high-traffic, fault-tolerant systems.

- Knowledge of observability tools, logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates who have strong hands-on system design experience and have independently designed or contributed significantly to scalable production systems will be preferred.
