About the Role:We’re building a modern ticketing system and are looking for a motivated and detail-orientedNode.js Developerto help build reliable, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions. You’ll be responsible for developing backend services and REST APIs, implementing new features, and ensuring the performance and reliability of the system as we continue to develop the product.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining backend services and REST APIs in Node.js/TypeScript;
- Implementing asynchronous and event-driven workflows using RabbitMQ;
- Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL schemas and queries (Prisma);
- Writing automated tests and keeping code clean, maintainable, and reviewable;
- Participating in code reviews and helping keep code quality consistent across the team;
- Debugging and resolving production issues, and improving reliability and performance;
- Working with Product Owner and QA team to clarify requirements and delivering features end to end;
- Contributing to CI/CD and containerized deployment workflows (Docker).
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience building backend applications with Node.js and JavaScript or TypeScript;
- Strong understanding of backend architecture and experience designing and building RESTful APIs;
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming in Node.js;
- Experience building event-driven systems using RabbitMQ or another message broker;
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL;
- Good knowledge of Git and modern software development workflows;
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code;
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills;
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver reliable results;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other Developers and Product Owner/QA team
Nice to have:
Experience with NestJS;
Experience with Prisma ORM;
Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines;
Experience writing automated tests (edited);
