Position Summary


This position is Program Owner for the Fatigue Rule Compliance program. It is responsible for providing governance and oversight of the Fatigue Rule Work Hour Controls program and ensuring the program is applied consistently at all sites. It also maintains the initial training content for covered individuals/supervisors and ensures training content meets requirements for the Fatigue Rule Work Hour Controls program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide governance and oversight of the Fatigue Rule Work Hour Controls program and ensure the program is applied consistently at all sites.

  • Maintain initial training content for covered individuals/supervisors and ensure training content meets requirements for the Fatigue Rule Work Hour Controls program.

  • Provide oversight of contractor personnel supporting the program.

  • Provide applicable liaison/coordination with NEI, software (EmpCenter) provider and Industry workgroups.

  • Meet regulatory requirements associated with NRC reports and notifications.

Required/Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • 5 years related work experience.

  • In lieu of Bachelors degree(s) AND 5 year(s) work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 9 years work experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters degree

  • In addition to desired degree, 7 years related work experience.

  • Preference will be given to Paragon employees with experience in managing and implementing the fatigue rule program.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of operational and technical principles, theories, procedures, and practices.

  • Good working knowledge of procedures, regulations, and programs within nuclear.

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to speak and write in a clear and concise manner.

  • Seven or more years directly related experience preferred in Nuclear plant operations, maintenance or security.

  • Direct experience in managing a Fatigue Rule Work Hour Controls program.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid Mobility Classification Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees must live within a reasonable commute to their designated Duke Energy facility, not greater than 50 miles one way. Employees are expected to report to their assigned Duke Energy facility as required and directed by their manager, on average 3 full workdays per regular workweek.

Specific Requirements

  • Ability to pass Radiation Worker Training and Plant Access Training

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
