Occupational Health Partner

• Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
• $111,788 pa + 12% super (level 6)
• 72.5 hour fortnight
• Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Occupational Health Partner, and help shape and enhance our communities for today and tomorrow.

As an Occupational Health Partner you'll be developing and driving the delivery of the Work Health and Safety strategy, and partnering with department leaders to implement initiatives and developing solutions and strategies to meet their long-term operational requirements.

You'll also:

• Proactively manage a portfolio of work and non-work-related injury and illness cases end to end with leaders across Council
• Coach leaders on Occupational Health matters, policies and process aligned to best practice and legislative requirements
• Coach and partner with leaders in responding to complex issues impacting recovery and return to work
• Partner with the Safety Business Partnering Team to manage implementation of statutory health monitoring programs and any risk mitigation strategies.

About you

We're looking for your experience handling complex health and wellbeing matters, managing return to work processes end to end independently, and problem solving and inquiry skills, and ability to summarise complex issues in a concise and meaningful way and develop recommendations for resolution. Experience in Local Government is a bonus.

You'll also bring:

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience applying relevant frameworks and legislation including the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, and the Work Health and Safety Act 2011
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to provide specialist advice, direction and support to key stakeholders.
• Excellent time management skills and adaptability to change and shift focus and re-prioritise on short notice
• Highly developed people and relationship skills and ability to communicate and motivate effectively at all levels of the organisation
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy),or significant relevant experience required
• Certified Return to Work Coordinator or relevant recency of practice qualifications required.
