Role Description The Occupational Therapist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Brisbane, QLD, with a mix of in-person client work and the option to work from home for appropriate tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing functional abilities, developing and implementing client-centered intervention plans, and facilitating rehabilitation programs to enhance independence and quality of life. The role involves collaborating with clients, families, and other practitioners, documenting clinical progress, and contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions. The Occupational Therapist will provide services across a variety of settings (e.g., home, community, clinic), support clients with mental and physical health needs, and ensure practice aligns with ClearSky’s values and relevant professional standards. Additional responsibilities include participating in quality improvement, maintaining professional development, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills and professional training in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice.
• Candidates should possess knowledge in Medicine and Rehabilitation to support holistic, goal-oriented care and safe clinical decision-making.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear documentation, collaborative teamwork, and engaging with clients and families in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner.
• Candidates should possess experience or interest in Pediatrics, including working with children and young people with diverse developmental and functional needs.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility) with the appropriate professional body and regulatory authority.
• Experience in community or allied health settings, particularly in mental health, disability, or NDIS-funded services, is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, person-centered care, and continuous professional development.
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team, with sound time management and organizational skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client visits, if required.
