Office Assistant - WEC

Department Overview: WEC is a unit within the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) at UW–Madison that conducts and supports program evaluations within education and community systems through partnerships with school districts, professional associations, state agencies, education-based community organizations and foundations, and Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs). We are a community of evaluators with diverse content and methodological expertise. Anticipated Start Date: 08/15/26 Anticipated End Date (If Applicable): 05/31/2027 Remote Work Eligibility Detail: All Remote Anticipated Hours Per Week: Minimum: 5 Maximum: 10 Schedule: Flexible Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum: Minimum: $17.00 Number of Positions: 2 Qualifications: Undergraduate student. Studies in education strongly preferred. Experience and/or interest in qualitative and quantitative analysis, literature reviews, data cleaning, transcripts required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Communicate effectively via email Responsiveness to requests Willingness to learn new skills Comfort with Excel, Word, Adobe. Data visualization, statistical analysis experience is a plus Position Summary/Job Duties: Work with WEC staff to provide support with evaluation work. Tasks might including cleaning data sets, creating descriptive summaries from a data set, developing surveys in Qualtrics, transcribing interviews, thematic analysis of survey responses.
