Overview
The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing workplace operations, facilities management, executive support, and team member experience for the Planet Fitness Boston Club Support Center. This role ensures the office environment remains efficient, engaging, safe, and aligned with Planet Fitness culture while supporting leaders, team members, and visitors.
The Office Manager partners closely with business leaders, property management, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class workplace experience. This role combines operational leadership, facilities oversight, workplace planning, and engagement initiatives to support organizational effectiveness and team member satisfaction.
This is a full-time role that requires regular, in-person work at our Boston, MA office, Monday-Thursday, with occasional work-from-home Fridays. The anticipated start time for this role is 7:30am. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of this office location. Fully remote work is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
Facilities & Workplace Operations
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Boston Club Support Center, ensuring a productive, professional, and welcoming work environment.
- Leads office space planning, seating assignments, office moves, workspace utilization, and workplace readiness initiatives.
- Serves as the primary liaison with building management and vendors, including cleaning, security, catering, HVAC, maintenance, and workplace service providers.
- Coordinates office maintenance projects, safety initiatives, emergency preparedness activities, and workplace improvement efforts.
- Provides day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to the Office Coordinator, ensuring consistent execution of office services, front desk operations, workplace readiness, and guest experience standards.
Team Member Experience & Engagement
- Leads workplace engagement programs, office events, wellness initiatives, and culture-building activities.
- Partners with Operations, Engagement, and department leaders to execute communications, recognition programs, and employee experience initiatives.
- Oversees new hire workspace preparation, onboarding logistics, and workplace readiness activities.
- Identifies opportunities to improve workplace processes, team member satisfaction, and overall office experience.
Executive Support & Business Operations
- Provides administrative support to executive leadership team members and supports business operations initiatives.
- Partners with Executive Assistants and business leaders to support meetings, planning activities, and organizational priorities.
- Handles highly confidential business information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Builds strong relationships across departments to support workplace and operational needs.
- Leads special projects focused on improving workplace experience, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Monitors workplace service performance and vendor effectiveness and implements improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, facilities coordination, executive support, or related functions, including experience leading or coordinating the work of others
- Strong ability to independently manage workplace operations, anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and resolve issues with minimal direction
- Demonstrated experience supporting office operations within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
- Proven experience managing multiple calendars, scheduling priorities, and executive support activities utilizing Microsoft Outlook
- Strong knowledge of workplace operations, facilities coordination, vendor management, and office administration
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and workplace technologies
- Experience utilizing visitor management systems, expense reporting tools, and related business applications preferred
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
- Superior verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
- Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
- Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment

The salary for MA-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below. This is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with a candidate’s professional experience, qualifications and internal equity.
Annual Base Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000
This role is also eligible to participate in an annual corporate bonus incentive program based on company financial and personal performance.
