Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
Salary: $1,500 Monthly
Employer: A law firm located in Las Vegas, Nevada
Position Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Offshore Paralegal to provide legal support to aSouthern Nevada-based family law firm in the United States.This role is writing-intensive and requires exceptional English communication skills, legal reasoning, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is comfortable drafting legal documents, synthesizing legal authorities with case facts, and supporting attorneys and legal assistants throughout the litigation process.
While Family Law experience is preferred, it is not required. Candidates with strong legal writing skills and the ability to quickly learn new areas of law are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Drafting
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, correspondence, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Draft discovery requests, respond to discovery requests, draft production of documents.
- Draft orders and decrees.
- Prepare legal filings and supporting documentation.
- Revise and proofread legal documents for grammar, clarity, formatting, and legal accuracy.
Legal Analysis
- Review case files, statutes, regulations, and case law.
- Analyze legal issues and apply relevant law to the facts of each case.
- Assist attorneys by preparing summaries, research memoranda, and supporting legal arguments.
Case Management
- Maintain organized electronic case files using Clio.
- Track deadlines, court dates, and attorney tasks.
- Ensure all case documentation is complete and up to date.
Client & Administrative Support
- Schedule meetings and client appointments using Zoom.
- Communicate professionally with clients when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information.
Document Management
- Create, edit, merge, and organize PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat.
- Prepare exhibits and supporting documentation for court filings.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Excellent typing skills.
- Exceptional legal writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting US law firms.
- Experience in Family Law (preferred but not required).
- Experience drafting pleadings and motions.
- Familiarity with US court procedures.
