About the Role
Veem is hiring two Risk Operations Analysts to support its growing Risk Operations workload. These roles will focus on customer and account reviews across KYB, KYC, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, and related risk investigations.
The ideal candidates bring hands-on experience reviewing individual and business onboarding cases, identifying AML and fraud risks, conducting due diligence, and documenting clear, defensible decisions. You will be trained on Veem’s dedicated product workflows and play an important role in expanding operational and monitoring capacity.
What You’ll Do
- Review customer onboarding cases, including KYC and KYB verification.
- Verify business ownership structures, beneficial owners, control persons, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct enhanced due diligence, adverse-media research, and other risk-based reviews.
- Investigate AML, fraud, transaction-monitoring, and other risk alerts.
- Identify potential fraud and AML red flags; escalate cases appropriately.
- Analyze customer, account, and transactional data to support risk decisions.
- Document clear, accurate, and complete case notes, rationales, and decisions.
- Support customer/account reviews and other Risk Operations workflows as required.
- Work closely with the Risk & AML team in a fast-paced, regulated payments environment.
What You’ll Bring
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Risk Operations, AML, fraud, compliance, onboarding, or financial crime investigations.
- Hands-on experience with KYC and KYB reviews, including individual and business verification.
- Experience conducting enhanced due diligence and adverse-media screening.
- Experience investigating transaction-monitoring, AML, or fraud alerts.
- Ability to assess risk indicators, make sound recommendations, and escalate appropriately.
- Strong analytical and data-analysis skills.
- Excellent written English and the ability to document clear, concise case decisions.
- Ability to work independently, manage volume, and adapt quickly to defined workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated financial-services environment.
- Experience with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening/clearing, and SAR writing.
- Card-fraud investigation experience. Exposure to customer/account reviews involving complex ownership structures or higher-risk customers.
