Role and Responsibilities Our Lease Analysts (LAs) are responsible for maintaining accurate lease and ownership records and ensuring timely, accurate action on lease obligations across our oil and gas operations. LAs work closely with the Land Administration team, internal departments, and clients to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of lease administration tasks. They support the team by maintaining lease and ownership data in either the clients’ or in PetroLedger’s Quorum OnDemand Land system, tracking lease obligations, and routing more complex title or ownership questions to the appropriate team member. This position plays a critical role in managing client-owned assets and maintaining accurate records within PetroLedger’s land systems. JOB DUTIES Lease Review & Compliance Review and interpret oil and gas leases and related lease documents to confirm key terms and obligations. Support ownership interest calculations (net revenue, mineral, and working interest) using title opinions and ownership reports provided by others. Ensure timely compliance with lease obligations (delay rentals, shut-in payments, minimum royalties). Land System Management Set up and maintain lease data in clients’ or in PetroLedger’s Quorum OnDemand Land system. Maintain physical and digital lease files as required. Deactivate and archive expired or released leases and contract files. Ownership & Reporting Maintain and update leasehold ownership data as determined by title opinions and ownership reports. Work with division order and clients to support ownership verification and documentation. Prepare as necessary acreage inventory for both developed and undeveloped leases. Client & Internal Support Collaborate with clients and internal departments to resolve routine ownership or lease-related questions; escalate complex title or curative issues to the appropriate team member. Communication & Compliance Provide clients with regular status updates and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and internal teams. Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and attention to detail. Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements. General Support Participate in process improvements related to lease records and land systems. Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management. SKILLS Strong understanding of oil & gas leases and contractual obligations. Familiarity with mineral and working interest ownership structures. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail for database accuracy and quality control. Ability to handle multiple clients and assignments simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with a land/lease management system is a plus, but training will be provided on Quorum OnDemand Land. Sound judgment to recognize when an issue requires escalation to a Senior Analyst or supervisor. Adaptable to in-office and remote work environments. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. 1–3+ years of land administration or lease records experience in the oil and gas industry. No prior experience with Quorum OnDemand Land is required — training is provided; strong working knowledge of core lease administration concepts is the priority. Additional Notes This job description outlines the core responsibilities of the role but is not exhaustive. Additional goals may be assigned in alignment with PetroLedger’s values and evolving needs. PetroLedger offers both Lease Analyst and Senior Lease & Title Analyst positions. The Senior designation reflects deeper industry knowledge, leadership capability, and a greater level of experience in lease records and title analysis within the oil and gas sector.
