About the Role

The Junior Graphic Designer helps bring OluKai campaigns and product stories to life across digital, social, retail, and print. Working with senior designers, this person turns creative direction into thoughtful, accurate assets while developing their craft through collaboration and feedback.


What You'll Do (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to)

  • Design on-brand digital assets, including paid social ads, emails, web banners, and landing page graphics, using established templates and brand systems.
  • Design and adapt retail, presentations, and print.
  • Adapt approved concepts across formats and placements (static, carousel, story, display) while keeping the visual system consistent.
  • Help maintain shared Figma libraries and templates so the team can work faster and more consistently.
  • Support campaign production by organizing files, preparing handoffs, and following naming conventions and version control standards.
  • Prepare, package, and quality-check final files against print, and vendor specifications before delivery.
  • Build layouts and production files with strong typography, composition, color, and product accuracy.
  • Collaborate with senior designers, copy, photo, video, and marketing partners to incorporate feedback and meet deadlines.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support the Creative team on new projects as needs arise.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of graphic design experience, including internships or equivalent portfolio work, preferably with a consumer, lifestyle, apparel, or footwear brand.
  • A portfolio showing strong visual fundamentals and examples of both digital and print design.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Working knowledge of file formats, image resolution, color modes, and production-ready digital and print artwork.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Clear communication, a collaborative mindset, and comfort receiving and applying creative feedback.
  • A good eye for brand consistency and the ability to work within an established visual system.
  • Actively seeks out AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies, adapting quickly to leverage them for improved productivity, deeper insights, and more effective processes, while exercising sound judgment and maintaining compliance with organizational standards
  • A genuine passion for premium consumer branding and ocean lifestyle

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working in Asana
  • Basic photo retouching and image editing
  • Basic motion design skills (After Effects, Figma animation, or similar) for short-form social content.


Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 plus opportunity for annual bonus; salary is based on the experience that you bring to the position.
