Your Impact

As a Master Data Specialist – Tactics & Onboarding, you'll maintain and govern SAP master data and maintenance tactics for new and existing equipment. By coordinating onboarding requirements and ensuring asset data is accurate and complete, you'll support safe, compliant and efficient maintenance execution from commissioning through to steady-state operations

As part of our team, you will

  • Create and maintain SAP master data, including functional locations, equipment records, classifications, task lists, maintenance plans, packages, counters and supporting data fields.
  • Coordinate master data and maintenance requirements across equipment purchase, build, commissioning, handover and transition into steady-state maintenance.
  • Develop, review and maintain maintenance tactics in consultation with Asset Management, Reliability, Planning, Execution, OEMs and site stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain bills of materials, material linkages, critical spares, major component, specialised tooling and service item data to support maintenance and inventory readiness.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control across master data, maintenance plans, task lists, tactics and onboarding records, escalating risks that may affect safe and effective maintenance execution

Prerequisites for your success in this role

  • A relevant trade, technical, asset management, maintenance planning or master data qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Practical experience using SAP PM to create, maintain, validate and govern maintenance master data.
  • Knowledge of asset hierarchies, functional locations, equipment records, maintenance plans, task lists, bills of materials, material masters and work management processes
  • Understanding of maintenance strategy development, equipment onboarding, commissioning readiness and the transition to steady-state maintenance, preferably within a mining environment.
  • Strong data analysis, quality control, problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Your Work Environment

This permanent position is offered on a hybrid roster and travel to our Newmont's Tanami operation in the Northern Territory will be as needed.

As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Tanami provides modern camp accommodation and facilities while on site. You'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams supporting one of Australia's premier underground gold mining operations.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to a safety-focused culture that values teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement in a technically challenging and unique operating environment.

Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance Control, you will work as part of the Asset Management team and collaborate with Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain, operational teams, OEMs, vendors and commissioning support providers to deliver equipment onboarding and maintenance data readiness.
