What We're Looking For
- A high-speed internet connection, a modern computer, and a quiet, professional workspace at home.
- Strong subject-matter expertise in standardized English exam structures and scoring criteria across one or more of the following tests:
International Academic/Professional Exams: IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, TOEIC, OET (Occupational English Test).
Turkish National Exams: YDS, YDT, YÖKDİL.
- At least 2 years of proven experience teaching live online exam preparation courses.
- Mastery of test-taking strategies, time management techniques, and question-type analysis (e.g., Reading/Listening strategies, Speaking/Writing scoring rubrics for IELTS/TOEFL/OET, and grammar/vocabulary elimination techniques for YDS/YÖKDİL/YDT).
- Tech-savvy and fully comfortable utilizing online classroom tools and digital learning platforms.
- Excellent English communication and instructional skills.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate student schedules.
- Ability to improvise, adapt lessons dynamically, and keep student motivation high.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching (ELT), English Language and Literature, Translation & Interpretation, Linguistics, or related fields.
- Minimum 2–3 years of direct teaching experience in English exam preparation.
- Strong understanding of current exam trends, question patterns, and scoring frameworks.
- Proficient in using online teaching platforms and virtual whiteboard tools.
- Patient, analytical, energetic, and result-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- High personal test scores on relevant exams (e.g., IELTS 8.0+, TOEFL iBT 100+, PTE 79+, YDS/YÖKDİL 90+).
- Recognized international teaching qualifications (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL) or a teaching certificate (pedagogical formation).
- Background in specialized exam fields (e.g., healthcare/medical background for OET training, or business background for TOEIC).
- Prior experience in exam coaching, mock test grading, or test content creation.
