Our Online Learning Advisers (OLAs) are the subject matter experts who facilitate the student’s learning, with a focus on helping them achieve their goals.
We are particularly interested in experienced business and technology professionals with current industry expertise. Candidates will hold a minimum Master's degree in Business Analysis, Business Process Management, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or a related field, alongside 5+ years of industry experience. We value professionals who can translate real-world insights, business challenges, and best practices into engaging learning experiences for online students.
What You’ll Do
As an OLA, you’ll ensure students experience high-quality, positive learning by:
Facilitating learning activities that engage and retain students
Marking assessments and providing meaningful, constructive feedback
Supporting communication through discussion boards, emails, and live sessions – ensuring visibility to students every 24-48 hours
Collaborating with academic teams to maintain unit quality
Upholding OES values to foster a positive team culture and student experience
OLAs are not responsible for curriculum design, assessment creation, or scheduling.

About You
We’re seeking educators who are:
Qualified: Hold a minimum Masters in the following: Business Analysis, Business Process Management, Information Systems, Business Information Technology, or a related discipline
Experienced: 5+ years industry experience
Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, process modelling, and process improvement.
Desirable experience with BPMN and process modelling tools such as Signavio.
Experience supervising, mentoring, or assessing team-based project work.
Experience marking assessments and providing constructive written feedback.
Previous teaching, mentoring, facilitation, or online learning experience.
Desirable certifications: CBAP, CCBA, BPM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
Empathetic: Understand the challenges faced by online learners
Organised & proactive: Able to manage time and responsibilities independently
Tech-confident: Comfortable navigating online learning platforms
Student-focused: Passionate about helping students succeed
Flexibility to work sessional part-time: 8 hours per week. Hours may increase depending on assessment/marking cadences and the number of student groups you support.
