OpenShift Specialists

We are seeking OpenShift Specialists (m/f/d) to join a critical infrastructure transition project for our client.

Position Overview:

Start Date: 1 November 2026

Initial Contract: Until 31 March 2027

Extension: Possible, with a potential total project duration of up to 12 months

Workload: Full-time

Working Model: Fully Remote

Language: Fluent/business-proficient English required; German is a plus

Key Responsibilities

· Take ownership of the day-to-day operation and stability of the existing Red Hat OpenShift platform.

· Administer and maintain complex OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.

· Investigate incidents, identify root causes and troubleshoot technical issues in production environments.

· Contribute to the stabilization of the platform throughout the outsourcing and transition phase.

· Provide technical support during operational incidents and escalations.

· Capture and structure critical operational knowledge for future operating teams.

· Transfer technical expertise and best practices to the new service organization.

· Create and maintain clear documentation covering configurations, operational procedures, system dependencies and relevant platform landscapes.

· Support the analysis and resolution of complex infrastructure-related problems.

· Help ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities without compromising operational continuity.

Essential qualifications:

· Several years of senior-level professional experience with Red Hat OpenShift.

· Strong practical knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.

· Proven experience operating and administering production-grade OpenShift clusters.

· Strong understanding of cluster management, scaling, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting.

· Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues in highly critical environments.

· Previous involvement in knowledge transfer, operational transition, stabilization, or outsourcing projects is highly desirable.

· Ability to create structured and comprehensive technical documentation.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with different technical teams during a transition.

· Fluent or business-proficient English is mandatory.

· German language skills are considered an advantage.

What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate is a hands-on OpenShift specialist who is comfortable working independently in complex production environments and can combine technical operational expertise with strong knowledge-transfer capabilities.

You should be able to quickly understand an existing platform, identify operational risks, resolve critical issues and communicate technical knowledge clearly to incoming teams.

Experience in environments where business continuity, operational stability and structured handover are critical will be particularly valuable.
