Our Operational Assurance (OA) Team collaborate to provide confidence to UKSBS and our clients that core controls are effectively in place to deliver services to a high quality. The key activities of the team focus on independent Quality Monitoring, First Line of Defence (FLoD) testing and compliance audits of processes within Operations. It is a fast paced and dynamic environment, where d uties will include, but not be limited to the following: Day to day line management of the OA team, including coaching, mentoring, and personal development Perform quality inspections and assess internal processes, monitoring the quality of work and encouraging team members to identify areas for improvement Conduct sample testing to ensure the controls defined within the Risk and Controls framework (RaC) are followed and fit for purpose Ensure that the internal OA SLAs are achieved as agreed with the Operations Management Team Undertake specific agreed quality monitoring and resolution of queries from the Operational Teams Identify trends of control failures and make recommendations for improvements Assist the Operational Risk Manager in coordinating and completing internal and external audits Create and maintain a strong network of stakeholders across the business Manage capacity and attendance, ensuring that there is always sufficient cover across the team and assignments to specific deliverables Communicate business objectives and department goals, ensuring that the team understands objectives and how their work contributes to achieving these goals Develop the training plan to ensure team members are kept up to date with process changes across Operations, to ensure the correct activities are being reviewed as part of quality monitoring To do this role well you will need: Proven work experience gained within operational assurance or operational risk Excellent people management experience, including coaching and mentoring Demonstrable experience of quality monitoring, FLoD testing and compliance audits Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workload and set priorities for others Able to communicate at all levels, with good verbal and written skills Knowledge of GDPR legislation would be highly advantageous Experienced in quality control and audit procedures, highly beneficial Your application: Closing date for applications is Mon 5th October, with interviews taking place week commencing 12th October.
