Operational Excellence Lead | Manufacturing | Hybrid


A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Lead to drive continuous improvement initiatives and embed a high-performance culture across the business.


Reporting to the Head of Industry Business Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in developing Operational Excellence capabilities, leading cross-functional improvement projects, and driving measurable gains in efficiency, performance, and employee engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and embed Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methodologies across all business functions.
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives and improvement projects to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Coach, mentor and develop teams in CI tools, problem-solving techniques, and performance management.
  • Drive organisational change and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Lead benchmarking, maturity assessments, process confirmation activities, and strategic improvement programmes.
  • Build a sustainable culture of continuous improvement through training, communication, and hands-on leadership.


About You

  • Proven experience in an Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Business Excellence or Lean leadership role.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certified.
  • Strong background in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong project management, change management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food production, or other regulated manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.

Eligibility

Applicants must have EU citizenship or valid Stamp 4 permission to work in Ireland.
