Purpose The Operational Resilience Lead is responsible for driving the delivery of Causeway’s Technology Resilience framework, promoting and embedding resilience and continuity best practices across the organisation. The role is accountable for identifying critical business functions – including those involving Causeway’s products and services – and ensuring they can continue to operate during a disruption. Working closely with the Crisis Management team, the role develops plans to recover from disruptions and return to normal operations as quickly as possible. Key Responsibilities Resilience and Continuity • Own the implementation of Causeway’s Technology Resilience framework across critical systems, business processes, and technology. • Evaluate and assess current resilience status, categorise services based on business criticality, and develop a roadmap to reduce risks, increase uptime, and prevent avoidable outages. • Work collaboratively with product, engineering, and IT teams, ensuring appropriate resilience is designed into Causeway’s products and services. • Provide subject matter expertise on continuity and resilience considerations for supplier onboarding processes, ensuring appropriate risk management throughout Causeway’s supply chain. • Work with product owners and critical process owners to quantify, document, and report on resilience metrics. • Design scenarios and run tests to verify and validate the effectiveness of continuity and recovery plans. • Develop and implement improvement plans based on lessons learnt from test scenarios. • Design and implement resilience reporting and MI, including the identification and escalation of material resilience vulnerabilities. • Prepare and present resilience reports, lessons learnt from any invocation, and progress updates to the compliance management forum. • Support a culture of continuous improvement within the IT function by identifying and implementing changes to enhance DR service quality, cost efficiency, and effectiveness. • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including system owners, Head of GRC, and senior management, providing updates on DR performance and other relevant information. Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential Requirements • Experience in Business Continuity and Operational Resiliency, including BIAs, BC plans, disaster recovery, recovery strategy, exercises, incident management, monitoring and reporting. • Operational experience working with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) and VM's. • Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards, e.g. ISO 22301, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials. • Development and testing of large-scale business recovery plans. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Experience of working in a medium to large enterprise with multiple stakeholders to manage. • Risk management experience, process design and a track record in change management. • Demonstrable experience of operating within an ITSM. Desirable Skills • A relevant degree or professional continuity and resilience qualification (such as CBCI), or equivalent demonstrable experience. • Operational experience working with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP). • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to see tasks through to completion and produce high-quality, auditable deliverables.
