As an Operations Assistant, you’ll play an important role in keeping our Transaction Liability team running smoothly. Working closely with the Operations Coordinator, you’ll help make sure transactions are processed accurately, records are kept up to date, and the team has reliable information to work from.
This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys being organised, working with detail and supporting a busy team. You don’t need previous insurance experience. We’re much more interested in your willingness to learn, your approach to your work and your ability to stay organised.
Our Transaction Liability team works on risks connected to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) around the world. This includes Representation & Warranty (R&W), also known as Warranty & Indemnity (W&I), as well as contingent liability and tax insurance. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about this specialist area while developing valuable operational and business skills.
About the role
You’ll work alongside the Operations Coordinator and wider team, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Accurately entering new transactions and information into our underwriting system, making sure records are complete and up to date.
- Supporting the billing process by completing transaction checklists and helping ensure the right information is recorded.
- Keeping track of outstanding payments and working with colleagues to follow up on anything that needs attention.
- Working with our Finance team and legal counsel to help track legal fees and ensure invoices are recorded and processed correctly.
- Supporting the closing process by making sure files are complete, organised and ready for review.
- Providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the wider Transaction Liability team.
- Getting involved in other tasks and projects as you build your knowledge and experience.
About you
This is an entry-level opportunity, so you don’t need to have worked in insurance before. We’ll support you as you learn the role and get to know the business.
You could be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy being organised and keeping on top of the details.
- Take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Are comfortable managing different tasks and priorities.
- Like working with others and being part of a supportive team.
- Are curious, proactive and willing to learn.
- Feel comfortable asking questions when you’re unsure.
- Can work to deadlines while maintaining good attention to detail.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
