About the role
The Operations & Event Coordinator plays a key role in supporting in North America and UK operations. Working across events, marketing, business development and internal operations, you will help to ensure activities run smoothly, stakeholders remain engaged and our team continues to deliver exceptional client outcomes and experiences.
This role is open to candidates based in Ontario. This is a flexible hybrid role, with the expectation of occasional travel to our Toronto office.
Key responsibilities:
Team coordination
- Provide administrative support to NDI staff, including coordinating travel, scheduling meetings, managing calendars and supporting day-to-day operational needs
- Liaise with administrative staff at client organizations to coordinate briefings, workshops, and other events including managing the required logistics
- Support special projects, operational research and ad hoc requests as assigned.
Marketing and events
- Support the team with sales campaigns including online research, contact list collation, and outbound emails
- Support the delivery of in-person and virtual events, coordinating logistics, timelines, marketing & stakeholder communication and webinar setups
- Update and maintain CRM systems to enable accurate tracking and visibility of business development activities, including researching, validating and maintaining higher education sector contact data to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness
- Liaise directly with prospects and clients to secure meetings and attendance at events.
And the practical experience:
- 2-3 years experience in a marketing or events coordination role, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- A flexible, client-focused approach and a willingness to go above and beyond to deliver a positive client experience
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and multi-task in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and solve problems effectively
- An eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
- Previous experience in the higher education sector is highly regarded.
The expected base salary for this role is between $70K – $90K CAD annually. Final salary may vary based on location, experience and qualifications.
