The Opportunity
The Monash eResearch Centre sits at the intersection of research infrastructure and digital innovation, enabling discovery across Monash's most ambitious scientific and data-intensive programs. This fixed-term, full-time Operations Manager role is your opportunity to shape how a leading research technology team functions day to day - and at scale.
What You'll Drive
- Oversee day-to-day operational delivery across the eResearch Centre, ensuring projects, resources, and workflows align with strategic priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams supporting research computing, data management, and platform services
- Manage budgets, reporting cycles, and vendor relationships to keep the Centre running efficiently
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce friction for researchers and technical staff alike
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience managing operations within a technology, research, or higher education environment
- Strong financial acumen, including budget oversight and resource planning
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams toward shared delivery goals
- Clear, confident communication with both technical specialists and senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with research workflows or eResearch infrastructure is highly regarded
- Experience operating within a university or large, matrixed organisation at Clayton or a comparable campus environment
