About Bolt

Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.

  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.

  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.

  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About the role

We are looking for an analytical and high-ownership Operations Manager to lead three of our most important domains in Spain: Planning & Analysis, Marketplace and Riders. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of strategy and operations, directly supporting how Bolt operates in a key European market.

You will own the operational strategy across interconnected pillars. Your focus will be on monitoring city performance and executing rider strategy. You will report to the General Manager and work cross-functionally with Growth Analytics, Central Operations, Legal, and Product teams.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Performance Tracking & Planning: Monitor and track the business performance of cities in Spain. Identify performance risks early and suggest corrective actions based on data. Develop weekly and monthly performance reporting frameworks for your domains, translating complex data into clear narratives, actionable insights, and structured plans for local management.

  • Marketplace Optimization: you and your team will lead complex city-level analysis, using data, models, dashboards and structured hypotheses to diagnose issues across supply, demand, pricing and conversion. Suggest and implement price changes, budget allocations, and competition defense mechanisms to maintain market position.

  • Rider Growth: Lead the Rider domain with the primary objective of growing rider activity. Develop local categories and programs to unlock new rider segments and expand Bolt's use cases beyond standard ride-hailing.

  • Airports and Venues: Oversee and manage strategic contracts at critical airports and venues, proactively identifying opportunities to improve performance. Submit competitive proposals to secure premium positioning

  • Competition & Trends: Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and partner earnings to ensure Bolt maintains a competitive advantage.

  • Planning and Forecasting: Develop and maintain tools and help City Owners in the planning and forecasting for Spain — lead target-setting, engage with other local teams, build scenario models, track OKR progress, and develop the strategies needed to hit business objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small high-performing operations team, ensuring multiple workstreams are delivered on time and to a high standard.

About you

  • You have 5+ years of experience in Operations, Consulting, Finance, Analytics, or a related analytical role. Experience working within tech, mobility, or a highly regulated industry is an advantage, and you have experience managing or leading a team for at least 2 years (a big plus).

  • You have strong financial acumen — you're comfortable working with financial data and confident with concepts such as unit economics, P&L, margins, and business cases. You use this to drive pricing, investment, and planning decisions, not just to report on them.

  • You have advanced analytical and modelling skills — you build complex models and dashboards, identify non-obvious performance drivers and second-order effects, and translate data into clear, quantified recommendations. You're skilled with Excel or Google Sheets; experience with BI tools like Looker or Tableau is a plus.

  • You take real ownership and stay composed under uncertainty — you act proactively in high-impact situations and, rather than waiting for a playbook or perfect clarity, form a view and make the call when only part of the information is available, adjusting as you go.

  • You are an excellent communicator in both Spanish and English (written and spoken), able to present confidently to senior internal and external audiences.

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related analytical field.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.

  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.

  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.

  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.

  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.

  • Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.

Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.
