Company Overview
The company is a residential remodeling and design specialist serving homeowners with flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, and full interior transformations. From product selection through installation and final walkthrough, it provides an end-to-end, design-forward experience supported by trusted installers, dedicated project coordination, and a commitment to craftsmanship and clear communication.
You’ll find a collaborative, fast-moving, and quality-driven culture where doing right by the customer comes first. The team values accountability, process, and continuous improvement—creating an environment where your ideas quickly become real-world systems that help projects run smoothly and predictably.
Mission
We’re hiring a Project Manager to take full ownership of projects from the point of sale through closeout. You’ll coordinate materials, installers, schedules, work orders, and customer communication—while also building and improving the SOPs, checklists, and templates that keep everything organized and on track. You’ll track job costs, manage cash-flow schedules, and provide leadership with clear visibility into progress, profitability, and risks.
If you enjoy turning complex projects into clean, repeatable workflows—and you love staying two steps ahead on scheduling, materials, and customer updates—this role is for you. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, value craftsmanship and service, and take pride in ownership and accountability—you’ll feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence. You’ll own day-to-day project execution and help build a structured, repeatable system that keeps projects moving without constant owner involvement.
- Review sold projects and confirm scope, selections, measurements, and documentation are complete before scheduling any work.
- Build and maintain master project schedules, aligning material lead times with installer availability, inspections, and customer timelines.
- Coordinate and verify material ordering; confirm availability and delivery dates before setting installation dates.
- Prepare, issue, and update work orders for installers and subcontractors with clear scope, drawings, selections, and site notes.
- Communicate proactively with customers about schedules, progress, next steps, delays, and changes; set expectations and conduct pre-start meetings.
- Coordinate with sales, operations, accounting, vendors, and installers to ensure smooth handoffs and aligned priorities.
- Monitor projects daily; identify and resolve scheduling, material, quality, access, or installer issues before they cause delays.
- Manage change orders end-to-end: scope confirmation, pricing, customer approval, documentation, scheduling impact, and invoicing.
- Track job costs in real time (materials, labor, subs, deliveries, misc. expenses) and compare to estimates; flag variances and drive corrective actions.
- Manage project cash-flow schedules, forecasting when expenses will hit and when customer payments should be collected.
- Track customer deposits, progress payments, and final balances; align billing with milestones and ensure timely collections.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project information, documents, and status notes within the management system.
- Provide clear reporting to management on schedule lookaheads, job status, risks, profitability, outstanding issues, and upcoming cash needs.
- Lead punch-list completion and closeout: schedule final items, obtain customer approval, collect final payment, and archive documentation.
- Create, refine, and enforce SOPs, workflows, templates, and checklists; train the team and ensure consistent adherence.
- Drive a culture of accountability with installers, subs, and internal teams; follow through on commitments and timelines.
