The Operations Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of freight and parcel claims across multiple carriers and clients. This position demands a blend of analytical precision, process discipline, and collaborative teamwork — alongside an eagerness to innovate and embrace technology in solving logistics challenges. You’ll work closely with operations, customer success, and data teams to resolve shipment loss or damage claims, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Communicate with carriers, clients, and internal teams to keep claims moving smoothly.* Review shipping documentation — bills of lading, proof of delivery, and carrier notes — to establish liability and determine the appropriate settlement.* Enter and update claim information accurately in the tracking system, keeping every record complete and audit-ready.* Leverage AI tools (SiftedAI, Claude, and similar) to assist in claim documentation, report drafting, and root-cause analysis.* Identify claim trends across clients and carriers, and share insights that lead to operational improvements and preventative measures. Actively participate in team meetings, project discussions, and innovation sessions focused on process automation and continuous improvement. Review and process parcel and freight claims for loss, damage, or delay according to company policies and carrier terms.* Desired Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel — data entry, formulas, pivot tables, managing large datasets, and building dashboards.* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling high-volume transactional work under time-sensitive deadlines.* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.* Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders such as carriers and clients. A curious, proactive approach to problem-solving, with a track record of seeing issues through to resolution. Demonstrated ability and willingness to embrace AI as a core tool for problem-solving and innovation, and enthusiasm for applying emerging technology to logistics operations.* Strong organizational and multitasking ability with a solutions-focused mindset. High school diploma or GED required; postsecondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred. No minimum years of experience required.
