Oracle Database Administrator

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Provide specialised Database Administration support across Oracle, MySQL and Exadata environments

• Manage and troubleshoot Oracle databases, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard

• Monitor and resolve day-to-day database issues, ensuring optimal performance

• Support database implementation and maintenance projects

• Collaborate with teams supporting applications and software dependent on databases

• Contribute to database best practices and process improvements

• Support database environments in line with established security standards

• Produce and maintain technical documentation when required

• Provide operational database support and participate in rotating on-call activities

• Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in Database Administration

• Proven experience managing Oracle databases across different versions

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, Oracle RAC and Data Guard

• Experience with MySQL

• Hands-on experience with Exadata

• Experience supporting database environments in production

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability and availability to perform ongoing operational tasks

• Continuous learning and willingness to keep technical knowledge up to date

• Portuguese native speaker

• English at least B1 level

Nice to have:

• Oracle certification

• Strong Exadata experience

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and OCI database management

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field

• Experience implementing database best practices and process improvements
