Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion & EBS Finance Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Financials solutions across Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12) environments.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Subledger Accounting, and Tax, along with strong knowledge of core accounting principles and enterprise financial processes.

This is a senior, client-facing role supporting complex Oracle Finance transformations, including full-lifecycle Fusion implementations, EBS-to-Fusion migrations, global rollouts, and financial process optimization.

Responsibilities:

Oracle Financials Solution Design & Configuration

Lead the functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and EBS R12 solutions.
Translate business and finance requirements into scalable, compliant, and efficient Oracle solutions.
Partner with CFO, Controller, Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders to understand business objectives and design future-state processes.
Provide functional leadership across the full implementation lifecycle, from requirements and design through go-live and hypercare.

Finance Transformation & Enterprise Structure

Lead finance design workshops covering:

Enterprise structures
Chart of Accounts (COA)
Ledgers
Legal entities
Business units
Balancing segments
Intercompany

Design solutions that support complex multi-entity, multi-currency, and global finance environments.
Conduct fit-gap assessments and recommend process improvements and Oracle best practices.

Oracle Fusion Financials

Configure and support Oracle Fusion Financials modules including:

General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Cash Management
Fixed Assets
Expenses
Subledger Accounting (SLA)
Tax / E-Business Tax

Ensure seamless integration across financial modules and with upstream and downstream business processes.

Accounting, Close & Financial Controls

Design and optimize Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
Configure and support:

Intercompany accounting
Multi-currency processing
Revaluation
Translation
Consolidation
Allocations
Period close
Account reconciliations

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Ensure solutions align with accounting policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory expectations.

Accounts Payable, Receivables & Cash Management

Design and configure AP and AR processes supporting end-to-end Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash activities.
Configure payment processes, payment formats, receipts, cash application, and related financial controls.
Design and support bank statement reconciliation and bank integrations.
Work with banking partners, technical teams, and integration teams to resolve payment and reconciliation issues.

Financial Reporting & Analytics

Support the design and implementation of enterprise financial reporting solutions using:

Financial Reporting Center (FRC/FRS)
Smart View
OTBI
BI Publisher

Translate reporting requirements into scalable financial reporting solutions.
Support financial statement design, management reporting, operational reporting, and reconciliation requirements.

Functional Design & RICEW

Develop comprehensive functional documentation, including:

BR100s
Configuration workbooks
Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
Functional specifications
Process flows
Conversion specifications

Define functional requirements for reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows (RICEW).
Partner with technical teams to ensure functional requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.

Data Migration & Conversion

Lead finance data migration and conversion activities covering:

Chart of Accounts
Suppliers
Customers
Open AP transactions
Open AR transactions
Fixed Assets
GL balances

Define data mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation requirements.
Support and validate data loads using FBDI and other Oracle conversion tools.
Lead reconciliation activities during mock conversions and production cutover.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Develop functional test scenarios and scripts.
Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Coordinate defect identification, triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
Validate end-to-end financial processes and integrations.
Lead financial reconciliation activities throughout testing and conversion cycles.

EBS-to-Fusion Transformation

Analyze existing Oracle EBS R12 financial configurations and business processes and map them to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
Conduct fit-gap assessments between EBS and Fusion functionality.
Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and modernize legacy financial processes.
Support EBS-to-Fusion migration activities across configuration, data conversion, testing, cutover, and financial reconciliation.

Training, Go-Live & Hypercare

Develop training materials and conduct finance user and key-user training.
Support cutover planning and go-live readiness activities.
Provide hands-on functional support during go-live, the first financial period close, and post-production hypercare.
Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate resolution across functional and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

12–15+ years of Oracle Financials experience, including at least 5 years of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12 Financials.
Proven experience delivering at least four full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Financials implementations.
Hands-on Fusion configuration experience across:

General Ledger (GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Cash Management (CM)
Fixed Assets (FA)
Subledger Accounting (SLA)
Tax
Expenses

Strong EBS R12 Financials knowledge, including Multi-Org, SLA, and E-Business Tax.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash processes.
Experience with period close, reconciliations, financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance.
At least 5 years of experience with FBDI, Smart View, Financial Reporting Center/FRS, OTBI, and BI Publisher.
Experience leading requirements workshops, functional design, configuration, testing, data migration, and production support.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work effectively with CFO, Controller, Finance Director, and senior finance leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle Financials Cloud Implementation Professional certification.
Experience integrating Oracle Financials with Oracle EPM, including:

FCCS
EPBCS
ARCS
Oracle HFM

Experience with Revenue Management, including ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
Experience with Lease Accounting.
Experience with Project Financials / Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
Experience supporting global, multi-entity, and multi-currency implementations.
CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
Advanced degree or professional accounting designation preferred.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on Oracle Finance functional leader who combines deep Oracle product expertise with strong accounting and business-process knowledge.

You will be comfortable working directly with senior finance executives while also diving into detailed configuration, data migration, testing, reconciliation, and issue resolution.

Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to translate complex financial requirements into practical Oracle solutions, challenge legacy processes, and guide organizations through the transition from EBS to Fusion Cloud.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $109,112 - $175,300. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
