Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Consultant – Remote Contract

Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Consultant to support its Oracle Fusion Financials environment following a recent go‑live. The consultant will serve as an embedded advisor to the internal financial systems support team, focusing on stabilization, workflow optimization, configuration troubleshooting, and functional issue resolution. This role requires a strong consulting mindset, deep functional expertise, and the ability to strengthen internal team capabilities through mentoring and knowledge transfer.

Contract Duration: 12–18 months | W2

Work Model: Remote – US Based

Responsibilities:

• Consultative Guidance — Balance immediate issue resolution with long‑term optimization strategies.
• Functional Issue Resolution — Diagnose and resolve issues across Oracle Fusion Financials modules.
• Workflow Optimization — Review and refine workflow architecture, approval routing, and configuration logic.
• Integration Troubleshooting — Investigate failures in inbound/outbound integrations and cross‑functional business processes.
• Knowledge Transfer & Mentoring — Train internal team members to increase system ownership and reduce reliance on external support.
• Post‑Go‑Live Stabilization — Support production issues, troubleshoot functional defects, and refine processes as the system matures.
• Quality & Controls — Reduce dependency on expanded user access or security role adjustments by addressing root‑cause configuration issues.
• Root‑Cause Analysis — Identify underlying issues in workflows, configurations, and integrations; implement durable fixes rather than temporary workarounds.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Experience supporting post‑go‑live ERP environments.
• Ability to train, mentor, and upskill internal support teams.
• Deep functional expertise across Fusion Financials modules.
• Background in root‑cause analysis and operational support models.
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, IT, or related field (preferred)
• Strong understanding of workflow architecture, approval routing, and configuration logic.
• Consulting mindset with a balance of tactical issue resolution and strategic improvement.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex integrations and cross‑functional business processes.
• 5–7+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, including workflow troubleshooting, configuration support, and post‑implementation stabilization.
