Oracle Fusion Treasury Analyst (WMATA)

Velocity Talent is hiring a Treasury Analyst for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). WMATA is moving its finance systems from PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion Cloud. This role keeps daily cash and banking operations running on the current PeopleSoft environment while helping clean up and convert treasury data ahead of the Oracle Fusion cutover.

Contract: 2,440 hours, about 14 months at full time.
Location: hybrid. Onsite Monday through Thursday at WMATA's Alexandria office, 2401 Mill Road (Eisenhower Ave), Alexandria, VA 22314, and remote on Friday.
Work authorization: must be authorized to work in the US without needing sponsorship now or in the future.

What you'll do

• Prepare and manage the daily cash position and cash flow needs
• Reconcile cash accounts and transactions, including wires and ACH payments, to general ledger postings
• Manage and reconcile treasury databases and keep them aligned with operational teams
• Post entries to the ERP and accounting systems under established guidelines
• Prepare AR billing and invoicing, and find trends and ways to improve the billing process across several customer data systems
• Test new system processes and meet existing and new deliverables
• Write and update procedures, policies and SOPs for the new Oracle Fusion workflows
• Work with banks and other financial institutions to resolve vendor payments, settlements and transfers before the ERP data conversion
• Support treasury audit deliverables, policy development and ERP integration

What you'll need

• 3+ years in corporate treasury, cash management or a similar role
• Current, hands on daily cash positioning and bank reconciliation
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, including cash flow and liquidity
• PeopleSoft Financials experience in the Banking, Cash and AR modules
• Implementation experience with an ERP system or a treasury workstation (Oracle Fusion, Kyriba, GTreasury, FIS Quantum or SAP)
• Experience writing process maps, SOPs and process documentation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or a related field, or a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of treasury or cash management experience

Nice to have

• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
• Oracle Fusion experience
