Order Management Administrator

• Melbourne Airport location • Full-time | Permanent Role • Monday to Friday (Day) We’re looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Order Management Administrator to support our national security branches through end-to-end order management and sales administration activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, managing order detail, and collaborating with internal teams to keep things moving efficiently. You’ll play a key role in processing customer orders, managing sales inboxes, resolving order-related enquiries and supporting the broader Sales Operations function. Why This Role Matters As an Order Management Administrator, you help ensure customer orders are processed accurately, enquiries are responded to in a timely way, and internal stakeholders have the information they need to support positive customer outcomes. Your attention to detail and ability to coordinate across teams will directly support efficient service delivery across our security branches. What You’ll Do • Respond to customer enquiries via email, including order confirmations, pricing discrepancies, delivery details and stock availability • Manage and monitor multiple sales inboxes to support timely order processing and customer responses • Process customer orders received via emailed purchase orders and online web submissions • Accurately enter sales orders into internal systems, validating product codes, quantities, pricing and delivery details • Support project-based sales by coordinating order processing, stock availability and delivery requirements • Escalate and refer order-related issues to the appropriate internal departments to support resolution • Provide sales administration and customer service support to sales team members and the broader Sales Operations function • Coordinate stock ordering and backorder management in partnership with Purchasing • Liaise with Accounts regarding customer status and order-related matters • Maintain accurate records by updating systems, databases and files as required What You Bring 2–4 years of relevant experience in customer service, sales administration, order management or a similar role Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately process information in internal systems Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence responding to customer enquiries by email Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities and remain professional at all times Computer literacy, including effective working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email A high school qualification or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred What We Offer Career stability and growth within a leading global distributor Supportive team environment with regular onsite initiatives Opportunities to embed yourself in an exciting, fast‑evolving industry Employee Assistance and Referral Programs A point for succession within the organisation, providing pathways into sales, operations, technical roles, and future lead opportunities Employee programs, learning pathways, and real progression opportunities About Wesco Anixter We build, connect, power, and protect the world.
