Key Responsibilities
Day to day responsibilities:
- Supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.
- Evaluates cases and determines need for on-going agency involvement.
- Provides assistance and/or on-the-job training.
- Delivers presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public.
- Designs and/or prepares training/instructional materials, teaching aids and devices.
- Develops and maintains area specific records, reviews reports, and resolves the more sensitive compliance issues.
- Analyzes, summarizes and/or reviews data, reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.
Qualifications
Minimum day one qualifications:
- Use case management software systems
- Coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups and/or organization(s)
- Maintain confidentiality
- Deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
- Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
- Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
- Organize information in a clear and concise manner
- Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
Preferred or trainable on the job qualifications:
- Assess organizational needs such as staffing, training, security, etc.
- Supervise others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations, etc.
- Principles, theories, and practices of performance management
- Identify the best person for a task, delegate assignments, and direct people as they work
- Provide technical assistance to users
- Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
