Job Title: Out of School Inclusion Advisor Job Location: Shire Hall, Block 3, 3rd Floor Salary: £33,143 - £36,363 per annum Hours per Week: 37.00 Contract Type: Fixed Term Duration: One Year Closing Date: 09/10/2026 Job Requisition Number: 14864 This post is not open to job share PAY AWARD PENDING AT 3.3% salary will increase to £34,237 -£37,563 per annum/pro rata for part time About the Team and Role: Join Gloucestershire County Council's Early Years & Childcare Service and help shape an exciting new countywide SEND offer. As the Out of School Inclusion Advisor, you will play a key role in improving access, participation and experiences for children attending breakfast clubs, after school clubs and holiday provision. Working with providers, families, schools and partner agencies, you will promote inclusive practice, support the implementation of reasonable adjustments, and help ensure children with SEND can participate fully in out of school activities. You will provide advice, guidance and practical support to providers, contribute to the effective use of the Out of School Inclusion Fund, undertake visits across Gloucestershire, maintain accurate records, and work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time. The role requires flexibility, including some early morning, late afternoon, evening and school holiday working to support provision across the county. Time worked outside normal office hours will be managed in line with Council policies About You: We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice, with experience of working with children, families and education or childcare providers. You will be able to interpret guidance, assess individual circumstances and provide practical advice and support. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships and manage a varied workload independently. You will hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in education, childcare or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience. The role requires regular travel across Gloucestershire and flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and school holidays.
