Owner

Role Description This is a part-time remote Owner role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including strategic planning, financial oversight, and daily operations. The Owner will set business goals, manage budgets, monitor performance, and make decisions that support sustainable growth. Typical activities include coordinating with contractors or partners, reviewing key metrics, updating processes and policies, and ensuring that services or products meet quality standards. The role also involves managing legal and compliance requirements, maintaining customer or client relationships, and identifying new opportunities for revenue and efficiency. While remote, the Owner is expected to be available for virtual meetings, respond promptly to critical issues, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to define vision, set priorities, and guide the business toward measurable goals.
• Business management and financial acumen, including budgeting, basic accounting, and cost-control capabilities.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities and balance strategic and operational tasks in a part-time capacity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Comfort with digital tools and remote work technologies (e.g., office suites, project management software, video conferencing platforms).
• Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to make informed decisions and continuous improvements.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory business practices.
• Prior experience in running or managing a business, department, or project is highly beneficial; relevant education in business, management, or a related field is a plus but not required.
