Company Description
The Nurture Project is a child-focused allied health service dedicated to supporting children and families through evidence-informed, holistic care. Based on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, the service emphasises collaborative, family-centered practice in natural settings such as home, school, and community environments.
The team values empathy, clear communication, and strengths-based approaches that empower children to participate meaningfully in everyday activities.
The Nurture Project offers a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where practitioners can grow their skills while making a tangible impact on children’s developmental outcomes.
Role Description
This part-time Paediatric Occupational Therapist role is a hybrid position based on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC, with a mix of in-person sessions at the homestead, visits to early childhood settings and some work from home for planning, documentation, and telehealth.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting paediatric OT assessments, developing individualised intervention plans, and delivering therapy to children in clinic, home, school, and community settings.
The role involves collaborating closely with families, educators, and other health professionals to support functional outcomes in areas such as sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self-care, and school participation.
The therapist will complete clinical notes and reports, contribute to service planning, and participate in regular supervision and professional development activities. Responsibilities also include maintaining ethical and professional standards, supporting inclusive practices, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.

- Competence in clinical documentation, report writing, and time management, including the use of digital tools and telehealth platforms.
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to ethical and cultural safety standards.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid model (on-site and work from home).
- Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and valid driver’s license, or willingness to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Experience in the NDIS or community-based services, and familiarity with school-based or early intervention settings, is highly regarded.
