About Taller Digital
Taller Digital is a UK-based, data-driven performance marketing agency with a modern, ambitious approach to digital growth. We care about doing excellent work, staying close to performance, and continuously finding smarter ways to grow our clients’ accounts.
We’re a collaborative, high-energy team with a shared growth mindset. We move quickly, pay attention to the details and expect people to take genuine ownership of their work. We’re looking for someone who wants to develop alongside the agency, rather than simply work through a task list.
The Role
We’re looking for a Paid Media Specialist with around 1–2 years of hands-on experience who understands the fundamentals of paid advertising and is ready to take meaningful ownership of a portfolio of google ad accounts
This is an execution-focused role. You won’t be expected to arrive knowing absolutely everything, because apparently Google enjoys releasing new features faster than any reasonable person can memorise them. You should, however, understand how an Ads account works, know what to look for, and be comfortable getting into an account and taking action without needing constant direction.
You’ll work closely with the wider performance team to manage, optimise and scale client accounts, identify opportunities, maintain strong account hygiene and make sure performance never drifts because nobody was paying attention.
This role is primarily focused on account execution and will not initially require regular client-facing responsibilities. However, we want this person to grow. As your account knowledge, confidence and communication skills develop, there will be opportunities to become more involved in reporting, strategic discussions and eventually client-facing conversations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the day-to-day health, performance and optimisation of assigned Google Ads accounts.
- Review campaign performance regularly and proactively identify opportunities, issues and next steps.
- Analyse search terms and add relevant negative keywords or identify new keyword opportunities.
- Manage and optimise keywords, match types and account structure.
- Understand and work confidently across core Google Ads campaign types, including Search, Performance Max, Shopping, Demand Gen and remarketing activity where relevant.
- Understand different bidding strategies and when they are appropriate, including Manual CPC, Maximise Clicks, Maximise Conversions, Maximise Conversion Value, Target CPA and Target ROAS.
- Review budgets, bids, bidding targets and campaign pacing against account objectives.
- Analyse performance by location, device, audience, schedule and other relevant dimensions to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Review campaign settings, targeting, exclusions and general account hygiene.
- Support campaign builds, restructures, launches and ongoing testing.
- Monitor conversion tracking and flag discrepancies or potential tracking issues quickly.
- Work with Google Tag Manager and GA4 to review, troubleshoot and support basic tracking requirements.
- Use client analytics platforms and available first-party data to understand performance beyond the Google Ads interface.
- Review landing-page and funnel performance where relevant, rather than assuming every problem can be fixed by changing a bid.
- Bring forward new tests, optimisation ideas and opportunities to improve efficiency or scale.
- Keep clear records of changes, learnings and account developments.
- Collaborate with the wider team on strategy, creative requirements, tracking and performance analysis.
- Take ownership of assigned accounts and ensure agreed actions are followed through.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on Google Ads experience within a performance marketing or digital agency environment.
- Strong working knowledge of the Google Ads interface and core account structure.
- Comfortable navigating campaigns, ad groups, ads, assets, keywords, search terms, audiences, locations, bidding and budgets.
- A practical understanding of the major Google Ads campaign types and their different roles within a media strategy.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads bidding strategies and optimisation principles.
- Basic working knowledge of Google Tag Manager and GA4.
- An understanding of conversion tracking and why accurate measurement matters.
- Strong numerical and analytical thinking with an interest in understanding why performance changed, not simply reporting that it changed.
- Excellent attention to detail. Small account mistakes can become surprisingly expensive hobbies.
- Comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities in a remote environment.
- Able to work independently, organise your workload and ask smart questions when needed.
The Ideal Person
We care as much about how you approach the work as what you already know.
You’ll probably thrive at Taller if you are:
- Positive, energetic and genuinely engaged in the work you’re doing.
- Proactive rather than waiting to be given every optimisation.
- Accountable and willing to take responsibility for the performance and health of your accounts.
- Curious and constantly looking for new ideas, tests and ways to improve performance.
- Detail-oriented and naturally inclined to check your work.
- Collaborative and comfortable sharing ideas, learnings and concerns with the wider team.
- Commercially minded and interested in the client’s actual business outcome, not vanity metrics.
- Committed to developing your skills and building a career in performance marketing.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and applying it quickly.
- Reliable. If you say something is being done, the team should be able to trust that it will be done.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and paid social campaigns.
- Google Ads certifications.
- Google Analytics (GA4) certification.
- Google Tag Manager training or certification.
- Experience with ecommerce and/or lead-generation accounts.
- Experience working across multiple client accounts.
- Familiarity with reporting or dashboard platforms.
- Basic understanding of Merchant Center and product feeds.
Benefits & Perks
- Fully remote role
- Work-from-anywhere flexibility
- Birthday day off 🎉
- Annual personal development allowance for courses and training
- High ownership, low bureaucracy environment
- Direct access to founders and strategic decision-making
- Genuine progression opportunities
Remote Working Requirements
This is a fully remote, work-from-home role. You’ll need:
- Your own reliable laptop suitable for day-to-day performance marketing work.
- Fast and reliable internet/Wi-Fi.
- A suitable working environment for focused remote work and team calls.
- The ability to work reliably and communicate consistently with a UK-based team.
- Working UK hours of 9am - 5:30pm.
What Success Looks Like
Within the role, success means becoming someone the wider team can confidently trust with an account. Your accounts are well maintained, tracking is monitored, optimisations happen proactively, opportunities are surfaced before someone has to ask, and performance decisions are backed by data.
Over time, we want you to develop from a strong executor into a well-rounded performance marketer who can contribute strategically, communicate confidently and take increasing ownership across both accounts and client relationships.
