We are seeking an experienced Asylum Paralegal to join our team remotely from Turkey. This is a full ownership role. You will manage asylum cases from start to finish, not just complete individual tasks.
⚠️ This position requires a minimum of 1 year of hands-on U.S. Asylum case experience. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply.
What You Will Do
- Prepare asylum applications (Form I-589) and all supporting documentation from start to finish
- Draft client declarations based on interviews and case materials
- Organize and review evidence, country condition reports, and supporting documents
- Prepare Habeas Corpus petitions and supporting documentation for federal court filings
- Prepare appeals and motions before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
- Prepare bond applications and supporting evidence packages for detained clients
- Assist with Immigration Court filings, hearing preparation, and case strategy support
- Communicate with clients to collect documents, provide updates, and assist with interview preparation
- Track deadlines and manage multiple active case files simultaneously
- Conduct weekly reviews of all assigned case files to confirm status, deadlines, and next steps
- Identify missing pieces in files and proactively resolve issues before they escalate
- Follow and carry out Team Lead instructions consistently and on time
- Maintain accurate and organized digital case files in our case management system
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on U.S. asylum case experience. This is a strict requirement
- Experience with detention, bond, BIA, or federal habeas matters is a strong plus
- Full professional fluency in both Turkish and English required
- Must be available to work California hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PT (18:00 – 02:00 Turkey time)
- High level of ownership, with the ability to manage cases independently without constant supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and deadline management skills
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace
- Degree in law or a related field preferred. Non-lawyers with relevant experience are welcome to apply
What We Offer
- A growing, structured firm with clear workflows and real career growth potential
- Collaborative team that values accountability, quality work, and strong client outcomes
- Real responsibility through full case ownership, not just repetitive tasks
- Fully remote from Turkey, working with a U.S. immigration firm serving clients across all 50 states
