Job Title: Medical Biller Academic Background: Associates Degree Preferred Experience: 5+ Years | Background in the Inpatient Setting with Critical Care Billing Knowledge Salary Range: $27/hr Overview: Beam Healthcare is looking for a part-time Medical Biller, about 5 hours/week, who will be responsible for the management of claims creation and billing. They will prepare and submit claims for medical services provided to insurance companies; working to optimize billing -- ensuring all charge opportunities are being captured. Job Responsibilities: Submit claims to insurance companies on behalf of Beam Healthcare Use medical billing software to enter patient demographics, procedures, diagnoses, charges, payments, and balance Maintain patient billing records Other administrative tasks, related to claims/billing, as needed Required Skills : 5+ years experience in medical billing in the inpatient setting Experience with critical care billing codes and telemedicine Proficiency with medical billing software, prefer prior use of Athelas Insights.
