Hy-Tek Material Handling Job Description Title: Electrical Site Supervisor Department: Installation Supervisor: Manager, Electrical Field Operations Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to resolve electrical-mechanical issues and equipment errors on automated material handling systems. Must be able to perform repair and preventive maintenance on systems. Responsible for on-site set-up, programming, and customer training. Must have experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) troubleshooting, debugging, and programming. Usage of technical drawing to diagnose any mechanical and electrical problems. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs. Responsible for on-site training, set-up, and programming. Responsible for touching base with customer on completed work. Ensure you are touching base with other departments to reach resolution. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Associates degree from vocational school or college with focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field 2+ years of experience in the electronics field Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components – photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers. and encoders. Knowledge of PLC programs; ability to troubleshoot ladder logic and modify the PLC program as needed Ability to interpret and modify mechanical and electrical drawings Knowledge of safe industrial work practices Working Conditions: This is a 100% traveling position. Some weekend/night work required as needed. Standing and walking for long periods of time. Occasional climbing on steps, scaffolding and/or mezzanines. Sitting in and/or driving a vehicle for a long period of time. Working with computers for a long period of time. Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
